Economic Roundtable on AAPI Small Businesses

Economic Roundtable on AAPI Small Business Growth

9/26/2023

I had a wonderful time participating in an economic roundtable hosted by Congressman Wiley Nickel’s office! Collectively, we discussed the significance of federal investments in small businesses and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities and how these investments have had an immense influence in creating a stronger economy for everyone and supporting businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic. I am incredibly grateful to have committed federal and local partners who will continue to help us grow AAPI small businesses while improving our local economies through access to capital and economic development opportunities. This roundtable was an excellent opportunity for us to continue supporting diversity and empowering AAPI communities in North Carolina.

At this event, I was delighted to be joined by devoted partners such as:

  • US Trade Representative Katherine Tai
  • Congressman Wiley Nickel
  • State Representative Maria Cervania
  • Councilman Steve Rao
  • Co-founder and Executive Director of North Carolina Asian Americans Together Chavi Koneru
  • President of Asian Pacific Islander Outreach Ed Binany
  • Vishal Ghadia
  • Dr. Amalendu Chatterjee
